Soldiering On

Longhorn Moth

24 Spot Ladybird

Ichneumon Wasp

Corisuz hyoscyami

And just for a bit of fun….

Bleurggggh!

And finally, quite obviously not a bug but worthy of shot anyway….

Young Wild Male Fallow Deer

Hands up who is enjoying the nice weather at last then?

Wild Deer Wednesday

My oh my, what a handsome fella.

It started off with two beautiful Muntjac deer, a male and a female, coming into the clearing. Snap, snap away I went with my camera.

Then a female fallow deer. Then another. Then a baby fallow deer. More females. Then the stag. In total a Stag, 7 females and a baby!

This handsome chap unfortunately had a very bad limp. He didn’t seem deterred and still has seven ladies trailing around after him!

Summer? Autumn? Summer? Autumn? It all got confusing!

As people of the UK will know it all went a bit weird this year.  Heatwaves in early October and apparent very cold summer (although I failed to notice this).

Below is a selection of wildlife that’s been around in the late summer/early autumn.  Changing of seasons is always a great spectacle in the natural world.  Autumn being the best IMHO.

Spider Chow Down

Chiffchaff

Grasshopper

Bumblebee

Corizus hyoscyami (a new addition to Worcestershire).

Shield Bug

Comma

Fallow Deer

Dragonfly

Long Tailed Tit

Robin

Pheasant

Fallow Deer

Great Spotted Woodpecker

Young Swan

Ladybirds

Now, let’s start on proper Autumn!
